HackerOne is among a new group of security companies that provide a bug bounty program platform as a service. This model enables HackerOne to bring qualified security researchers to help any organization find flaws they didn't even know they had.
The U.S Department of Defense, which recently ran a "Hack the Pentagon" program together with HackerOne, is one of the company's clients. Alex Rice, co-founder and CTO of HackerOone, was the CEO of the company until November 2015, when open source luminary Marten Mickos took the reins.
In a video interview, Rice details how the company is growing and where bugs are being found by HackerOne's community of researchers.
