Company Description

NTT Security is part of the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Group, a large Internet and communications company based in Tokyo. It has regional headquarters in North America, Europe and the Asia/Pacific region. Together with partner companies (NTT Communications, NTT DATA and Dimension Data), it provides services throughout the security life cycle.

Product Description

NTT offers a broad range of security professional services and integration and incident response services. They include enterprise security monitoring, device management and vulnerability management. A managed endpoint detection and response (EDR) offering is available via partnerships with Carbon Black, FireEye and CounterTack.

The company has seventeen 24/7 managed security services security operations centers (SOCs) globally: six in the Asia/Pacific region, five in Europe and six in North America. It is in the midst of integrating three distinct security platforms. For example, NTT is migrating North American and Japan customers to its new Global Managed Security Services Platform (GMSSP). Others remain on the older WideAngle and ArcSight ESM-based platforms.

NTT has the ability to serve a wide range of industries and vertical markets across geographies due to the global presence of NTT Group companies.

NTT’s Global Threat Intelligence Platform (GTIP) has visibility into 40 percent of global Internet traffic.

Analyst View

Gartner named NTT as a Challenger in the Magic Quadrant report. The analyst firm said NTT has the ability to bundle MSS with telecommunications and IT infrastructure service offerings. It also said GMSSP has a good range of roles available, with some customization and self-service capabilities available to customers. However, the company is in the midst of a global platform integration, which may impact some customers.
