Company Description

Bitdefender is a security technology company that provides end-to-end cyber security solutions and advanced threat protection to more than 500 million users in more than 150 countries. Since 2001, Bitdefender has produced business and consumer security technology, and offers hybrid infrastructure security and endpoint protection. It is privately held.

Product Description

GravityZone Full Disk Encryption leverages encryption capabilities provided by Windows (BitLocker) and Mac (FileVault) platforms, taking advantage of the native device encryption. This ensures compatibility and high performance. Users don’t need to install an additional encryption agent on the endpoints, and administrators don’t have to maintain a key management server. The Full Disk Encryption module uses the same endpoint security infrastructure as Bitdefender’s GravityZone security management console. GravityZone offers endpoint protection, data protection, compliance reporting, and encryption key recovery.

Encryption management is done from the same cloud or on-premises console used for endpoint protection. This makes it easy to manage or restore keys from the console. Encryption-specific reports that help companies demonstrate compliance. It also includes pre-boot authentication enforcement.

“Encryption tools should use the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), exert no performance impact on the system, and deliver simplified key management and recovery,” said Utpal Desai, Group Product Manager at Bitdefender.
