Pinterest Security Flaws Found
The vulnerabilities could allow attackers to hijack user accounts.
Security researcher Shadab Siddiqui recently uncovered several vulnerabilities in the social media site Pinterest.
"Siddiqui identified a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability and an iframe injection issue that could allow hackers to hijack user accounts and perform other malicious operations," writes Softpedia's Eduard Kovacs.
"With the aid of another security researcher, Deepanker Verma, he found a URL redirection flaw that could be leveraged to redirect the site’s visitors to other potentially malicious domains," Kovacs writes.
