Oracle recently announced the acquisition of enterprise mobile security startup Bitzer Mobile (h/t MediaNama).

Bitzer, a provider of mobile applications management solutions designed to allow companies to provide employees with access to corporate data and applications from their mobile devices, was launched 999 days prior to the acquisition -- following the acquisition, Bitzer CEO Naeem Zafar tweeted, "The Journey took 999 days exactly and came down with a perfect landing - happiness at"

Bitzer's Web site now redirects to an statement on Oracle's site regarding the acquisition. "Bitzer Mobile augments Oracle's industry-leading portfolio of Fusion Middleware products, and is expected to be a core component to its mobile security strategy," the statement reads. "Together, Oracle and Bitzer Mobile are expected to provide organizations with a comprehensive solution to further manage security of enterprise information held on personal and company-owned mobile devices."
