McDonald's Thailand Hacked
More than 1,900 names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses were published online.
Hacker "Maxney," a member of the Turkish Agent Hacker Group, recently published data from the Thai Web site for McDonald's.
"The leak has been posted to Pastebin with ... a database dump from the 'members' of the site, which appear to be people who have entered competitions or registered for other reasons," Cyber War News reports. "The leaked data contains 1,901 personal details such as names, address, phones, emails and other related information."
"[The] hack was no sophisticated attack -- it was possible because of the default administrative login credentials 'administrator' and 'password,'" notes HOTforSecurity's Bogdan Botezatu.
"The information from the Pastebin paste is not sensitive, but it’s more than enough for a targeted attack," writes Softpedia's Eduard Kovacs.
