A hacker calling himself CarlozTheJackal recently published what he claims are 7 GB of files taken from Azerenerji, the largest electrical power producer in Azerbaijan (h/t Cyber War News).

Alongside the data dump, the hacker posted a statement claiming that the attack was politically motivated. "Today we present you a Monstrous ARCHIVE of Azerbaijan Energy Giant – AZERENERJI – inside Archives totaling ~7 GB of confidential dox, illegal schemes, accounting, contracts, offshores, research, etc, etc,. We are not that very much happy with Aliev’s politics therefore this release is just another leap in a series of releases to fight Azerbaijani mafia clans," he wrote.

"Greetz to Armenian brothers of APAXHA, Lulz, Anons and TPB / We r anonymous we do not forgive we do not forget
we r the evil we r strong… HELP AZERBAIJAN FREE OF POLITICAL TERROR AND DICTATORSHIP," he added.

As SC Magazine notes, this is the second release of data from Azerbaijan this year -- in April of 2013, 1.5 GB of documents taken from the country's Ministry of Communications were published online.
