Hacker Maxney Defaces Renault Web Site

Hacker Maxney, a member of the Turkish Ajan Hacker Group, recently breached and defaced the Bulgarian Web site for car maker Renault.

“The hacker leaked the email addresses of over 6,000 users who had subscribed to the site’s newsletter,” writes Softpedia’s Eduard Kovacs. “He also published the usernames and encrypted passwords of the website’s administrators, CWN reports. Besides the Renault subdomains, the hacker also defaced the Bulgarian site of Romanian car manufacturer Dacia (dacia.bg). It’s worth noting that Dacia is also owned by Renault.”

“The leak was uploaded to rapid share and is a 102kb compressed file with two txt files, one that contains the administration account details and the other contains the newsletter details,” Cyber War News reports. “The defacement contains a a short message and a video as well as the common message we often see on the defacements done by @Maxn3y.”

Other recent hacks by Maxney include the Web sites of ASUS Italy in September, McDonald’s Thailand in October and Acer India earlier this month.
