F5 Networks was founded in 1996, and it originally focused on network load balancing. Headquartered in Seattle, F5 now offers solutions for distributed denial of service (DDoS), DNS, load balancing and more. It trades on the NASDAQ exchange under the symbol FFIV.

Product Description

F5 takes a four-tier approach to protecting against DDoS traffic: cloud, network, application and DNS. It can examine network layers 3-7. F5’s DDoS Hybrid Defender provides multi-layered defense that protects against blended network attacks and sophisticated application attacks while enabling full SSL decryption, anti-bot capabilities and advanced detection methods in one appliance.
