NewSeaSIMS Hacked

A hacker calling himself Game Over recently breached custom Sim content site NewSeaSIMS and published more than 90,000 user names, e-mail addresses and clear text passwords (h/t Cyber War News).

As Cyber War News notes, the site’s subject matter indicates that many of these exposed users are likely to be underage — and it’s a safe bet, unfortunately, that many of the passwords were reused on other sites.

Security researcher Adam Caudill published an analysis of the dump, finding that there were 95,031 unique entries, and the top 10 passwords unfortunately included “password,” “123456,” “123456789,” and “123123.”
