Modernizing Authentication — What It Takes to Transform Secure Access
Trend Micro this week released Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013, an updated suite of security software that includes Titanium Antivirus+, Titanium Internet Security, Titanium Maximum Security, Titanium Premium Security and Titanium Internet Security for Mac.
"The focus in this release is on [users'] social online activity," writes Softpedia's Ionut Ilascu. "As such, the company integrated a security component for social networks that works across multiple online services: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, MySpace and Pinterest. This allows the user to share information with their friends whenever Trend Micro identifies a malicious link."
"Consumers spend most of their time doing one of three things on the Internet -- checking email, surfing the Web and using social networks to keep up with family and friends," Trend Micro general manager and senior vice president Carol Carpenter said in a statement. "It is time that security companies start keeping up with consumers, protecting them where they are at risk. I'm proud that Trend Micro is the first to offer powerful and easy to use social networking security to our customers."
"You’ll also now get Windows 8 compatibility across the board, while the new Trend Micro SafeGuard provides a secure browsing environment from the Windows 8 Start screen, and the Maximum and Internet Security suites now include additional protection for Windows 8 tablets," writes BetaNews' Mike Williams. "The company says there have been other improvements throughout the packages, in particular to the antivirus and antiphishing engines."
