Healthcare Organizations Increase Cyber Security Spending

According to a survey [PDF file] from the Healthcare Informaton and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), more than half of healthcare organizations have increased their information security budgets over the past year.

"At the same time, a majority of responding healthcare organizations said they spend less than 3 percent of their overall IT budget on information security, according to a survey of 329 IT and security professionals from healthcare organizations conducted by HIMSS," Infosecurity reports.
