The BBC says it was recently targeted by an attack from Iran.

"The organization said that the 'sophisticated cyber-attack' could be aimed at shutting down its BBC Persian Service, and BBC director general Mark Thompson is calling the attack 'suspicious,'" writes The Inquirer's Dave Neal.

"Iran came up as one of Reporters Without Borders' Enemies of the Internet, for its anti-freedom activities, and this is not the first time that it has troubled Thompson enough to comment," Neal writes.
