The site was defaced with images and videos of Al-Qaeda and Taliban leaders, along with a statement reading, "Hacked by Anti Mortadin!@ ... This site was hacked a victory for the Taliban."
A Rawalpindi police official confirmed the attack, but told AFP that the website didn't hold any sensitive data that could have been accessed by the hackers.
"It was our official website but it had no data about criminals," the official said. "It was basically for public awareness. The website had no sensitive information. We have started repairing it and blocked further access."https://o1.qnsr.com/log/p.gif?;n=203;c=204660766;s=9477;x=7936;f=201812281312070;u=j;z=TIMESTAMP;a=20392931;e=i
The defacement has been removed, and the site is down for maintenance.
