The LA Times reports that the FBI is currently investigating an alleged webcam hacking case involving the newly crowned Miss Teen USA, Cassidy Marie Wolf (h/t Sophos).

Before Wolf was crowned Miss Teen USA on August 10, 2013, she received an e-mail from someone who claimed to have taken nude photos of her using her computer's webcam, and demanded money to keep the photos from being made public.

"I wasn't aware that someone was watching me," Wolf told TODAY.com. "The [webcam] light didn't even go on, so I had no idea."

Wolf says she has now put a sticker over her webcam when it's not in use, and is planning to use her new title to spread awareness of cybercrime among teens.
