Establishing Digital Trust: Don't Sacrifice Security for Convenience
The English language Facebook page for Saudi news channel Al Arabiya was recently hacked by Syria's Electronic Army.
"The group defaced the Page with its own banner ... and posted fake news about ongoing events in Syria," writes ZDNet's Emil Protalinski.
"The hackers criticized Al Arabiya TV and accused the channel of involvement in 'the destruction of Egypt and Libya,' of working 'day and night to broadcast venomous, Brotherhood, Zionist, thoughts, in Egypt and the Arab World,' and of paving the way for 'NATO’s occupation of Libya and its wealth,'" Protalinski writes.
