Softpedia reports that the sentencing of Hector Xavier Monsegur, a.k.a. "Sabu," has been postponed until May 27, 2014.
In a letter [PDF] to Judge Loretta Preska, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara wrote, "The Government respectfully submits this letter to respectfully request that the May 8, 2014 sentencing date be adjourned in order to allow the parties additional time to complete the sentencing submissions."
Monsegur, who's been working as an FBI informant since he was arrested in June of 2011, has now seen his sentencing delayed seven times. Last month, the New York Times reported that Monsegur was responsible for coordinating hundreds of attacks of foreign websites while he was working for the FBI.
Motherboard notes that Monsegur initially faced a prison sentence of up to 124 years.
