Establishing Digital Trust: Don't Sacrifice Security for Convenience
Cyber War News reports that members of Anonymous recently defaced more than 400 government and commercial Web sites in China.
"'All these years, the Chinese Communist government has subjected its People to unfair laws and unhealthy processes. Dear Chinese government, you are not infallible, today websites are hacked, tomorrow it will be your vile regime that will fall,' read a message on the defaced pages," writes Softpedia's Eduard Kovacs.
"Anonymous representatives also posted a message addressed to the Chinese people, urging them not to lose hope because they were not alone in the battle against the 'tyranny of the regime,'" Kovacs writes. "The hacktivists also posted a message on Pastebin, advising other hackers to join their ranks."
