Data security firm Imperva has released a white paper entitled Consumer Password Worst Practices, which examines 32 million passwords exposed in the Rockyou.com breach. The paper identifies the most commonly used passwords, and offers advice on password security.

Imperva CTO Amichai Shulman warns that weak passwords can have serious implications for enterprise security. "Employees using the same passwords on Facebook that they use in the workplace bring the possibility of compromising enterprise systems with insecure passwords, especially if they are using easy to crack passwords like ‘123456,'" he says.
