Tom Sawyer Software Hacked
Names, e-mail addresses, contact information, user names and encrypted passwords were compromised.
Hacker Nairb recently claimed to have breached the Web site for data visualization software company Tom Sawyer, and leaked what appears to be information from more than 60,000 accounts (h/t SC Magazine).
SC Magazine reports that Tom Sawyer sent an e-mail to customers confirming the attack and stating that first and last names, e-mail addresses, contact information, user names and encrypted passwords were compromised. It's not clear how the site was breached.
"We recommend you immediately confirm that you did not use your Tom Sawyer account password with any other account," the e-mail states. "If you did, you should change your password for those other accounts right away."
"I am not anon, I am nairb," the hacker stated alongside a link to the data published on Pastebay.
