According to Reuters, last year's cyber attack on Nasdaq was enabled by lax security practices.

"Four sources told Reuters that FBI investigators have found computers with out of date software on them, missing security patches and misconfigured firewalls," writes The Inquirer's Dave Neal. "This sort of thing might be excusable at home, but not at Nadsdaq."

"'This was easy pickings,' said one of the sources," Neal writes.
