WatchGuard Technologies recently announced plans to introduce a next-generation firewall (NGFW) designed to provide enterprise-class security for large enterprises and data centers.

"Set for launch next month, the WatchGuard XTM 2050 contains a 20 Gbps firewall, application control, SSL remote user VPN, advanced VoIP and HTTPS security and an intrusion prevention system, according to WatchGuard," SC Magazine reports.

"Eric Aarrestad, VP of marketing at WatchGuard, said: 'We specifically designed the XTM 2050 next-generation firewall to meet the ever changing needs and demanding requirements unique to enterprise environments,'" the article states.
