Russian police have arrested a man who recently hacked into the server supplying the video feed for a billboard in Moscow and played about two minutes of porn on the screen.

"According to Pravda, the grumble flick appeared at 11pm on 14 January on an giant display on the city's Garden Ring Road," writes The Register's Lester Haines.

"The ne'er-do-well pleaded guilty to the outrage, but insisted that 'he only wanted to entertain people,'" Haines writes. "In his defense, he claimed he 'originally wanted to stream the video on a commercial screen of a shopping mall in Moscow,' and didn't imagine that 'thousands of people would see the porn flick in the center of the city.'"
