Google is investigating the possibility that employees of Google China may have been involved in last week's attacks on the company's network.

"Insiders could have played a part in what is believed to have been a multi-prong attack on the company," writes CNET News' Elinor Mills.

"Employees in the Google China office were put on leave and others were transferred," Mills writes.
