A bug in the latest version of Googles Chrome browser could leak the identity of a user trying to surf anonymously.
The flaw means that domain-name queries are made by a users local network even when Chrome is configured to use a third-party proxy, writes The Registers Dan Goodin. Users typically use proxies to conceal their local IP address in an attempt to browse anonymously.
Its unclear when the hole might be patched, Goodin writes.
