Reuters reports that a Romanian court recently sentenced hacker Marcel Lazar Lehel, a.k.a. "Guccifer" and "Small Fume," to four years in prison (h/t Softpedia).

Lehel, a former taxi driver, was arrested in January of this year.

Guccifer's high-profile targets included Romanian secret service director George Maior, the Bush family, Colin Powell, European Parliament member Corina Cretu, and the former Deputy CIO of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency.

"The aggrieved parties Corina Cretu and George Cristian Maior did not turn into civil claimants ... The defendant is obliged to pay 11,000 lei ($3,400) in legal fees to the state," the Romanian court stated on its website.

Because Lehel had previously been given a three-year suspended sentence, he could spend a total of up to seven years in prison.
